An initiative of the no profit foundation of the Coesia Group (a world leader in the advanced automated machinery and precision engineering industry), the Bologna-based MAST - Arts, Experience and Technology project seeks to promote creativity and entrepreneurialism among the young generation. Built on a disused industrial area, the complex features distinctive compositional aspects and embraces construction and operational sustainability. A striking light-reflecting, translucent architectural enclosure houses a complex multifunctional core, comprising an in-house restaurant, a display hall, service areas, a gym, a day nursery with nursery school and garden, two exhibition halls, a coffee shop, a number of classrooms, a spacious foyer and a large auditorium. An uninterrupted flow connects the various services with each other and the city. The architectural quality of the building reflects in the elegant design of the interiors, showing an accurate choice of furnishings and finishing materials.
