UniFor renews its interest in the world of architecture, art and industrial design with the exhibition Nature, L'Anello Mancante, open to the public at the Maxxi Museum in Rome until February 3, 2019.
Designed by Architect Michele De Lucchi, the installation is developed and built with the support of UniFor as technical sponsor.
The missing ring is a construction that visitors can walk through and cross inside. It consists of a metal structure covered with rectangular shingles in white HI-MACS® solid surface by LG Hausys. The tubular steel bearing frame consists of twenty parabolic portals to which a double series of horizontal beams are fixed. The slabs, laid in staggered rows, are slightly spaced so as to allow the passage of light from the outside. The installation is completed by continuous LED zenithal lighting.
The structure reaches a height of almost 5 meters for a footprint of about 9 x 13 meters on the ground.
