Qatar's Education City in Doha is an integral part of its ambitious and innovative program for promoting education, science and community development. The complex hosts a number of important international universities, including a branch campus of the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University, a center of excellence and innovation in interdisciplinary research. The complex is crossed by a green walkway, flanked by palm trees and water features, linking the various institutions and leading to Carnegie Mellon's large central atrium, the heart of the campus, from which its various facilities are accessed.
