The interior design project for an international law firm

Designed by PLP architecture, 22 Bishopsgate is a 'vertical village' conceived to make work more sociable and enjoyable and is the latest addition to the London skyline, located in the City of London.
At 278 metres high, or 62 floors, it is second only to the 310-metre Shard as the tallest office building in the UK, and among the companies occupying the building are several international law firms and major insurance companies.

It is within this context of architectural excellence that the interior design project for this prestigious International Law Firm was developed by the architectural firm LSM.

The offices

The law firm, already UniFor's client for other offices worldwide, occupies from the 51st to the 54th floor of the building, for a total of 90,000 sq ft.

UniFor provided furniture from the Naòs and Naòs System series and glass partitions that play a central role in environments where privacy is crucial. The RP system, designed by Renzo Piano, was chosen for the project: single-glazed RP walls separate the private offices for partners and associates, while the meeting rooms are equipped with double-glazed RP walls, totalling 1,187 square metres - single-glazed RP and 270 square metres double-glazed RP.

The meeting rooms are also equipped with a credenza unit exclusively designed by LSM and with the AV Wall system, entirely conceived by UniFor as a modular technical wall panelling, designed to furnish representative meeting rooms in which the technological equipment plays a central role. AV Wall allows for the simplified integration of the latest generation of digital conferencing technology solutions, which are completely concealed within hidden technical compartments.

The private offices, 43 dedicated to partners and 107 for associates, are located along the entire perimeter of the building, guaranteeing the entry of natural light, and are all equipped with sit-stand desks and bespoke storage.
For the meeting tables, LSM chose 7 Naòs System tables, designed by Studio Cerri e Associati and winner of the ADI Golden Compass Award 2004 and 1 Naòs table, designed by Pierluigi Cerri, as well as some bespoke round tables.
The open space workstations are all adjustable in height and are screened to provide a degree of privacy whilst maintaining good access to the natural light available.
