UniFor confirms its partnership with EssilorLuxottica in the project to supply furniture for the innovative Tortona Experience Center in Milan.

In 2022, EssilorLuxottica inaugurated the Tortona Experience Center at 35 Via Tortona. The impression given to the Via Tortona headquarters is very modern: the existing industrial architecture has been reinterpreted, retaining its large volumes and character, but adding contemporary grafts to both the façade and the interiors, with a special focus on construction quality. As in the Cadorna office, UniFor worked in synergy with EssilorLuxottica in the via Tortona area to create and supply furniture solutions. On the ground floor, there is a large showroom area dedicated to the various brands, with customised display tables with drawers and an upper display case.

On the ground floor there are also eleven work rooms, with free-standing structures, accessible for B2B sales exclusively through a badge system and automatic doors. To create visual privacy between the rooms, a smoked mirrored glass wall system has been designed which are joined two by two. Separating the two rooms is a space with monitors showing the different eyewear collections.

UniFor custom-designed these work rooms - each dedicated to specific brands - all equipped with LessLess Color tables (designed by Jean Nouvel), Vitra seating from the Eames Aluminium series and drawer units with automatic badge-opening and a bronzed metal top display unit inclined at 45°, to optimise the presentation of the eyewear models. UniFor has also extended its contribution to the upper floor, where there are two distinct areas: an exhibition space and an area dedicated to collective and individual work. In the former, the displays are entirely custom-made, with metal supporting structures and glass displays, platforms with integrated LED lighting and display islands with drawers which, thanks to the special design of the metal front, equipped with slots of various sizes, allow a dynamic display of products.

UniFor’s work is completed in this environment with the creation of the storage area. The second space, the office area, is furnished with Naòs System tables and double-sided ceiling-to-floor bookcase systems, specially designed to create a functional subdivision of the area. The central space houses two meeting rooms with large walnut tables and brass inserts.

The partnership with EssilorLuxottica also extends to the parent company Molteni&C, which has furnished the social and lounge areas of the Tortona Experience Center and completed the work rooms with standard products, including the Alisee and Trevi tables by Matteo Nunziati, the D.154 .5, D.151.4 and the D.555 coffee tables designed by Gio Ponti, the Edge rugs by Nicola Gallizia, the Paul, Albert and Marteen sofas, the Gillis and Elain armchairs, the Jan coffee tables by Vincent Van Duysen, the Miss chairs by Tobia Scarpa and the Ava tables by Foster + Partners.
